Audrey is an independent doula, childbirth educator, and lactation educator since 2009. Currently, she is also a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) and Certified CPR/First Aid Instructor. She was originally trained by DONA as a doula, Great Starts as childbirth educator, and previously certified as a HypnoBirthing® Practitioner and doula. Audrey currently teaches classes on pregnancy, childbirth, newborn care, breastfeeding, CPR and safety, sibling preparation, and other topics. She believes strongly in creating a calm, welcoming space and helping all families have access to information and support, regardless of income, relationship status, gender identity or sexual orientation, race, religion, culture or citizen status.

Audrey was raised in Colorado Springs and earned a Bachelor of Science from Colorado State University in Fort Collins and a certificate in Scientific Illustration from the University of Washington, Seattle. She spent 15 years in the Pacific Northwest, working early in her career as an environmental restoration steward and educator, as well as a freelance illustrator. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Science.

Audrey has been married to her college sweetheart since 2002. In 2006, their first child was born. Becoming a parent was the inspiration to assist other families transitioning into parenthood.

As an artist, Audrey does portrait drawing, photography, henna staining, belly casting and painting, and more.

When Audrey is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends while hiking and camping in the mountains, drawing, crafting, learning other languages (ASL, Spanish, and German), or playing her fiddle and mandolin.
